Singer, Songwriter, Poet, Visual Orator, Stylist & Teacher, Ade Alafia Adio has been an artist his entire life. Born in Salisbury, MD to Nigerian parents, he returned to Nigeria in the misdst of primary school and attended secondary school there as well. While studying to acquire a degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering, Ade decided to stop all of that and focus on his artistry- which at the time included Singing, Songwriting, Poetry and Percussions.

 

He used his artistic outlets as modes to express his unique voice as well as to connect with society as a collective through in depth communication. "I spent a majority of my life being misunderstood andmisunderstanding others. I had a difficult time making sense of my actions. I had to develop an ideology of self-guidance, which strenghtened my level of self-awareness. This helped me to eliminate common fears and replace them with the total embodiment of faith." ~Ade

 

After spending the past several years in Europe, Ade has returned to the States and is continuing to make an impact on the world through his art. He is the creative mind behind Tree of Alafia, a lifestyle workshop established to create cultural awareness and universal one-ness for all.
